Sealed Construction
POWERBATT's unique construction and sealing technique ensure that no electrolyte leakage can occur from the terminals or case. This feature insures safe and efficient operation of POWERBATT battery.
Maintenance Free
During the expected floating service life of POWERBATT batteries. There is no requirement to check the specific gravity of electrolyte or add water, which means they require no maintenance service. In fact, there is no provision for these maintenance functions.
Non - Spillable
POWERBATT is classified as "non-spillable" and will meet requirements of the International Air Transport Association.
Absorptive Glass Mat Technology (AGM System)
POWERBATT battery use fine mat separator (fiberglass) wherein sufficient electrolyte is absorbed to provide the longest life and steady service. This system prevents escape of electrolyte from the separator which causes leakage.
Gas Recommbination
POWERBATT batteries are incorporated unique design that effectively controls generation of gas and allows recombination of 90% of gas generated during normal use. Gas generated from overcharged is absorbed by the electrodes and will not emit any gas outside the battery during normal use.
Position Free & Leakage Free
The combination of the sealed construction and the use of absorptive mat separators permits installation of the batteries in any position without loss of capacity, electrolyte and service life. POWERBATT batteries are made to operate horizontally or vertically.
Stable Quality & High Quality
POWERBATT batteries have stable and reliable performance. The battery can withstand overcharge, overdischarge, vibration and shock and is capable of extended storage.
Long Service Life, Float or Cyclic
POWERBATT batteries have long life in float or cyclic service. POWERBATT battery can be used for 200 or more cycles at 100% discharge in cycle service and 3 to 5 years in standby service.
Low Pressure Venting System
POWERBATT batteries are equipt with a safe, low pressure venting system, which operates at 1psi to 6psi, designed to release excess gas and reseal automatically in the event that gas pressure rises to a level normal rate. Thus, there is no excessive build up of gas in the batteries. This low pressure venting system, coupled with the extraordinarily high recombination efficiency, make POWERBATT the safest sealed lead acid maintenance free batteries.

Postive Plates
Positive plates are plate electrodes of which a grid frame of lead - tin - calcium alloy holds porous lead dioxide as the active material.
Negative Plates
Negative plates are plate electrodes of which a grid frames of lead - tin - calcium alloy holds spongy lead as the active material.
Electrolyte
Diluted sulphuric acid is used as the medium for conducting ions in the electrochemical reaction in the battery.
Separators
Separators, which retain electrolyte and prevent shorting between positive and negative plates adopt a non - woven fabric of fine glass fibers that is chemically stable in the diluted sulphuric acid electrolyte. Being highly porous, separators retain electrolyte for the reaction of active materials in the plates.
Safety Valve (One Way Valve)
The valve is comprised of a one way valve made of material such as neoprene. When gas is generated in the battery under extreme overcharge consideration due to erroneous charging, charger malfunction or other abnormalities, the vent valve opens to release excessive pressure in the battery and maintain gas pressure within specific rang (5 to 45Kpa). During ordinary use of the battery, the vent valve is closed to shut out outside air and prevent oxygen in the air from reacting with active material in the negative electrodes.
Positive and Negative Terminals
Positive and negative electrodes terminals may be Faston Tab, L-Terminal or Threaded Post Type, depending on the type of the abttery. Sealing of the terminal is achieved by a structure which secures long adhesive - embedded paths and by adoption of strong epoxy adhesives.
ABS Cover & Container
Materials of the body and cover of battery case are manufactured from ABS resins, unless otherwise specified.
